Hi! I'm thinking about buying myself a new set of headphones. Right now i don't think I can afford both a deticaded amp and a pair of headphones. My setup right now is Audio Technica ATH-m40fs (60 ohm phones) trough a mindprint diport DA converter. The mindprint has a headphone output with 300mW @ 32 ohm and certainly have more than enough power for the audio-technicas.

Is this kind of power enough to drive cans like beyer 880, sennheiser 600 or 650?

I live in a small city and will have problems with auditioning headphones with my amp. I heard the HD600 and HD650 at a store and really liked what I heard

hmmm..lets see...

300mw at 32 ohms is approximately 32mW at 300 ohms (or my math is failing me

now while 32mw is sufficient for most headphones, you might lose out a little bit on dynamics with the senns.

Make sure you get a second opinion on all this...I am messed up with my basics and this could be wrong
