Hi
I'm about to pull the trigger on a pair of Beyerdynamic DT150. But it needs amplification in order to fully blossom. So, I'm wondering if you have any suggestions? I am looking for an amp in the $300-600 range. Basically, I'm a total noob in the world of amps. Is the BADA PH-12 worthy of the DT150?

Alex.

Check the For Sale Forum. You'll get a lot more amp for your dollar if you buy used. You should be able to find a used Singlepower in that range - they're terrific amps.

Yeah you'd want a good desktop (non-portable) amp for those. Singlepower makes great tube amps. Also look at the Little Dot MKIVse. Headroom and Ray Samuels have some good desktop amps too. Some of them might be a little over $600 though.
