Hi guys,

I have a small headset boom microphone, taken off a pair of Turtle Beach Stealth 500Xs, and I need an extension cable that can reach a few metres to where my PC sits (my pc is in a media room, well away from where I sit).

The mic works on a short 3.5mm extension cable, but this one isn't long enough to sit back and game. I also have a longer 4m cable, but the microphone doesn't seem to work through that one. I have read in a few places about shielding on cables, but I don't know what any of it means.

Help would be much appreciated! =)
