2nd pair of headphones

I currently have the DT770/80 (nice bass, a bit bright) which are getting ready to go in for a darth mod. I use a x-meridian and a pimeta off my pc...I'm looking for a second pair of headphones to use while waiting for my mod and then to move to my non-pc main system. The set needs to be good for gaming and all types of music. I'm considering the ath-a900's or just going for broke and grabbing the ath-w1000's. I'm not really interested in another set of beyers since I'm trying to "expand" my familiarity with the nicer headphones. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

from what i've heard, the ultrasone proline 750 is very good.

Grado SR225/325 or AKG K501/601/701 or Senn HD580/600/650 or that W1000 seems like a pretty good option. Then theres the Denon's...
