Bassist and vocalist, Casey Abrams, will make his Chesky Records debut this Spring with a new album combining electrifying originals and compelling covers. "Robot Lovers" is the first single from this new release, showcasing both the frenetic energy of the band, as well as the unique nature of Abrams' creativity as a songwriter and performer.

All around musical wunderkind, Casey Abrams, has built a strong following through the years building on his public debut on American Idol in 2011. High praise was heaped on him early from fans and judges alike, prompting Randy Jackson to state that "I don't think I've ever seen in my life, on this show definitely, somebody as talented as you are in a musical aspect." Following his stint on the show, Casey released his debut album, Casey Abrams, co-produced by Jackson. In addition to releasing his sophomore effort, Tales From the Gingerbread House, Casey has been a regular contributor to rotating musical collective Postmodern Jukebox, touring with the band internationally.

Part of the Chesky Binaural + Series, all recorded with a single microphone, the band appears right before you with this spacious, lush and multi-dimensional recording. Now headphone users will hear the same three-dimensional sound and imaging as audiophiles have for the past 30 years with Chesky Recordings. Also these Binaural+ Series albums capture even more spatial realism for the home audiophile market, bringing you one step closer to the actual event. You will hear some of the most natural and pure music ever recorded

I really like the change in song composition and pacing. It's refreshing to hear a male vocalist in a very upbeat-sounding song. That being said, the "Binaural+" effect of guitarist on left ear, percussion on right ear, singer/bass in center feels old. The saxaphonist moving around the dummy head was, again, a really nice change in pace from the usual "Binaural+" formula, but the arrangement of the song is like any other Chesky Recording in my opinion.
