Hey guys,

I'm looking for suggestions on a step down power transformers, and information if there was any way this would hinder my audio quality.

http://www.amazon.com/LiteFuze-VT-100-Voltage-Converter-Transformer/dp/B00370J17I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1275012323&sr=1-1

I'm thinking about that one, but I'm not sure about the wattage.

I bought a UK Audio-GD C-2 for a good price, so I didnt really care where it was from at the time. Any ideas?

bunch of people might say why you got such a 220v unit.  the difference of your power supply might be heard if your gears are great enough. i also use a 220v unit with a transformer. that works well for me, maybe it is because my gears are not so good or my ears are not sensitive.

you should contact audio-gd about this question. i guess C-2 should be less than 50w. if so, 100w unit is enough. to make it safe, you'd better get the transformer's max output power at least twice of your unit.

Too good a deal to pass up on the C-2. Anyway, I have a pair of AKG K702s, or at least, I will in a week. I grabbed a 200w'er, just to be sure.
