I've been reading TONS of threads and get a little here and there, but not much, if any, consensus on the matter,  but I am really trying to decide on one or the other. Some are comparing the older models or one old and one new, but since the LCDs have new drivers for 2016 I wanted to reach out. I have an LCD3f production date 8/16 (squeezed it off of a guy for $860) and really love it. It doesn't really leave me to want for much else, maybe just a touch more soundstage and detail and that seems to be what some say the LCDX has but that it also lacks some upper treble. I've heard everything from the LCD3 has more resolution and more warm to the LCDX having more detail and more soundstage and some saying the LCD3 actually has better soundstage and extension. Don't know what to think anymore. 
 
I'm torn between the two, but want to decide on a final end-game phone for now. I've already spent enough money and don't want to spend more other than selling one for the other.
 
Anyone out there have both or heard both recently?
