No, I didn't order them, got them from nice head fier, who had them, so, I just paid the postage, I believe. If you can order from AKG, just do it, but check the price first, kan pittig zijn, even for such small thing.
You can ask Hans if he can do the wire job for you, but he is not cheap either, however located in Eindhoven???

I can do it for you, it isn't too difficult, and it won't damage any parts such as the metal badges. I've done two sets, one with elastics I got from a friendly head-fier, the other is set in place with those ties you use for garbage bags

I'll bring my set to the meet too, I believe there are different versions, might be interesting to compare; it is completely stock too. I don't think the part is available from AKG, but I'm still in the market for a set of elastics, so if anybody is ordering hair elastics, I'd gladly split the shipping costs.

Strange question maybe, but is there someone coming to our meet who has experience with changing AKG headband elastics?

I've recently bought some AKG K340's, which are very nice by the way, but elastics have to be renewed. I'm not someone with much experience or confidence in modding (although interested, but I have 'twee linker handen'). I was wondering if there someone I could do this together with in Soest?

Ok, I'll call AKG tomorrow, see if they could deliver 2 sets of elastics, we'll see
If they can't, I'll put an ad on head-fi, maybe I can find a friendly head-fier too who has them and is doing nothing with them

Make sure you check Thomann.de as well. They have a lot of AKG spare parts and are sometimes cheaper.

I always check their website first if I need something headphone (or instrument) related, they're great. But they don't have those elastics on their site, do you mean they could have more then what's on the site, so to contact them?

Well, I went and ordered some K500 pads (among other things). I'm afraid they will turn out to be K501 pads, but hope springs eternal.

CE Repair's prices are reasonable, but their handling and shipping costs aren't :frowning2:
When I ordered AKG ear pads in 2008, they asked € 13,15 shippingcosts on top of the price of the pads. But maybe that has changed.

CERepair. Thomann doesn't have these things. I'm no stranger to thomann and basically know by heart what headphone related accessories are available from them. (Good place to order DT48 pads, for instance.)

Their shipping is reasonable (5,80 euro), but they do ask a 6 euro handling fee on any order that's below 30 euros (mine was more than that

). And then there's also BTW, which isn't included in their catalogue prices.

Goedemiddag,

(so no elastics for the K340, and one other thing: 240/271 do fit on a K340 without 'modding'?! There are many topics with people using those pads)

I once bought vinyl K340 ear pads from a Headfi-er, and they were really the same as the vinyl K271/240 vinyl ear pads. Maybe Carla was referring to velours K240/271 pads versus vinyl K340 pads?

I use velours k240 pads on my K340. They (obviously) fit, with a bit of extra persuasion.
