Plus who wants to live in Cincy anyway. Much warmer in Houston.

Plus, maybe he's thinking a few more years and he can be the next coach at Notre Dame

Yes I think he is good fit for the Cincy program he will inherit, Collaros has tremendous QB talent and most of offense will return......first job is to try to keep as many recruits as possible from defecting and upgrade defense next year

Butch Jones had better record than Kelly at Central Mich and had two years offensive coach at West Va for Big East exposure......will get nice facility upgrade with bubble dome all year practice field under construction (Kelly demand from Cincy)

Jones also was, iirc, using Kelly's players and utilizing an offensive system they were familiar with. Those were two advantages Kelly didn't have.

Because you work for a program, not a set of players. Houston does have some tradition to speak of, and they do place a high priority on football for what is basically a city commuter school. That being said, I went there in '03 for the MSU/Houston game, and it was one of the poorest atmospheres I've ever experienced in college football. They weren't winning much back then though.

If Cincy went right back in the toilet tomorrow, nobody would really bat an eye or be all that surprised. Houston is the better job, long term.

Personal fan of University of Michigan here.

Sad year, not too sure about coach Rod, especially with the way we lost our entire season - one of the worst in school history.

Still, GO BLUE!

My business partner is a Michigan alum. You guys are very loyal fans, that's for sure.

P.S. He's also a Raiders fan. Talk about having a bad year -- or couple of years.
