I agree on all accounts. His idiosyncratic personality (and coaching style) really adds a lot to college football, and I enjoy his being in the Big 12 south because of it.

Honstely, I thought he would have been a good pick for the Washington or UCLA jobs, but I suppose the Louisville job could be a nice change of pace for him, especially if the rumor's true that he's still miffed at Texas Tech over his latest contract.

Even up 30%, it's still cheaper than in-state tuition at most other public universities, so it's hard for me to sympathize that much with them.

You think that any of these costs are reasonable? Americans are too used to getting screwed, and should take a look at other western societies who actually value educating their population.

That's probably about half what the established guys really make, if all of the related deals were thrown in. None of the top guys, pay for their cars and maintenance for example. Most have many business ventures related to their position, etc. It's a sweet gig, but one can't deny the pressure involved. The football monsters must be fed, and nothing is ever good enough, with every move scrutinized in the public domain.

I agree - the guys who make the most are the ones who would be out of a job the fastest if things don't go well. Which is totally cool - as long as they don't get guaranteed money after they get whacked (IMHO).

Looks like a good test for LSU today. Should be a pretty good game.

Hotty freaking Toddy! When State and Ole Miss fans agree on something, you know it's right.

Actually I am a Razorback fan and we play your Bulldogs today. I am pulling for LSU against the Rebs. Long story but has something to do with bad blood with Nutt. Will never be able to pull for any team he is coaching. Go Tigers!

P.S. Woo Pig Sooee!

My folks are from Arkansas and are actually at the game right now. Pulling against my alma mater. I understand the Nutt stuff but you didn't replace him with much of a statesman. Bobby Petrino is a little weaselly weasel with no integrity. But if you're a typical SEC fan like me, you're like "is he winning? then who cares?"

The difference between the two is Nutt screwed student athletes over. We had an awsome recruit in Mitch Mustain and Nutt chased him off because of pride. The only good to come out of the whole ordeal is we got rid of Nutt and that assbag Frank Broyles.

LSU is in big trouble again. They really have never deserved to be in the top 10. Jefferson just doesn't have what it takes to be a top 10 quarterback and now their running back is probably out for the season.

LSU is toast. Final score 25-23.
