Happy lunar new year to all at Head-Fi

Incidentally, it's also the last year of the Chinese calender cycle.

2008 will reset to the Year of the Rat.

Those turning 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 this year will have much fortune and prosperity bestowed upon them so go forth and buy more headphones and headphone equipment related paraphernalia!!!

Sweet, I'm turning 24 this year. Maybe I'll get that HE90 I've been looking for.

Boar? I thought it was officially Year of the Pig. Boar sounds better somehow.

In Japanese lunar animal signs, it is always the wild boar. The Chinese favor the domestic pig, but really aren't that particular: either will do.

American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source boar (bôr, bōr) Pronunciation Key
n.

1: An uncastrated male pig.

2: The adult male of any of several mammals, such as the beaver, raccoon, or guinea pig.

3: The wild boar.

Well, if it's number 1, I can see where the "lucky" reference comes from.

Isn't it: Gung Hei Fat Choi? This is the Cantonese way of pronounciation anyways
