What can I add that Steve Kerr didn't? The guy does color like he shot three pointers - nothing but nylon baby.

Duncan is a good player but he's dirty and everytime a foul is called on him he has that innocent monkey face like "

Lets GO SUNS!

Pietrus missed both of his freethrows and Davis made 1/2 in the end of regulation. Any of those three missed freethrows would've won it for the Warriors . . .

I know it wasn't the intention but be careful using the term monkey face as a description of any quality or action of anyone African American. You might find yourself in the middle of a Beno Cook, Don Imus career moment sometime in the future.

I couldn't agree more. That habit is annoying. I don't think he's dirty, just smart and full of guile. A veteran will seek an advantage in every facet of the game; that's what Duncan does

Now, if the NBA actually decided to honor a defensive players space, things might get really interesting. Imagine if they stop the post and bump. Or how about "creating contact" on the jump shot. Tony Parker and Nash are good at that one.

A couple times during this series, Duncan has gone up against Amare whose arms are straight up in the air - the ol' college space defense. High school in Amare's case? Duncan goes up and leans forward. The foul is called on Stoudemare. He's not getting away with that against Thomas because Kurt is too smart for that. Thomas does all his fouling when Duncan is on the ground where the defender's get away with more.

Right on q, Bill Simmons, one of my fave sportswriters, does a great column on Duncan here:

Yup... Growing pains for a young team. They have not yet learned how to close out big playoff games on the road (it was evident in the Dallas series too). Its a game of nerves and execution in crunch time. Pietrus is pretty much in a funk overall. Lets see how they do at home, when faced with elimination.

I'm not sure how Duncan is wildly underrated when analysts consistently declare him the greatest PF ever. Maybe underrated by the casual fan, but not by people who know hoops. He's the PF on my all-time team for sure.

BTW, Piston looks superb though. They might be the team to beat this finals.

Remember the Pistons are playing in the east, so they aren't exactly playing against contenders. I will give them credit for doing exactly what they should do though, which is beat them soundly instead of playing unfocused and giving the Bulls a chance to steal a game.

I do know that but by playing on the weaker side of the play off, they have more time to rest and have better focus. It would not surprise me if we have a rematch of the 2005 NBA final. Will be interesting tonight b/w the Spurs & Suns.

Detroit was .500 against the West this year. One has to wonder where they would be seeded on the other side of the bracket.
