These big aluminum tabs, what is their purpose?
Are they supposed to release some lock when adjusting. Should I press or pull them, I cannot tell any difference?

What I have understood is that those aluminium tabs are just for your eyes. If you purchase phones directly from Beyerdynamic's Manufacture you can get whatever you want writen on those tabs. If you want to get rid of them I think you´ll have to use a screwdriver.
Btw, I personally think those nicely shine up the looks of the phones

They enable the government to get a better signal from yoru brain when they listen to your thoughts.

As such, always try to take extra precautions when using Beyer headphones.

i know this is getting off-topic,

but why did you shrink-wrap your head?

some kind of wire termination ?

It is aluminum foil not shrink-wrap. He is trying to block out the conductivity of the negative goverment magnetic signals. Apparently Nordost makes a similar "anti-scanning" head-cap, but they charge something near 1000 USD for it, which in my opinion is just a tad pricey.

I have also heard drinking large amounts of gin will also blur the outward signals from your cranium. Honestly I think Duggeh already knows this, from looking at his pic.

Ah, never thought those were "aluminum foils"... coz aluminum foils are supposed to be more shinier and reflective
