2004 Brushed Aluminium Graham Slee Solo Amp (56K Beware)

Yes, but normally people HAVE to open the bonnet of their car, to check oil and fill up fluid bottles. Opening up electronic items like that usually has the effect of invalidating the warranty, if the manufacturer finds out. Not saying that would happen in this case, but I know I would not be opening it up for no reason.

You may all be interested to learn that the Solo has a "white" LED which looks pretty damned good and makes a change from the obligatory "blue" LED.

The extrusions are German and the panels are manufactured in Huddersfield UK.

It's a clean exterior, at least. The case looks a lot like LMB Heeger extruded aluminum cases.

DIY ?? I wish I could DIY to those standards

I think the amp looks extremely professional, sleek and sexy and compact

Maybe it's just me but I think the latest solo looks a lot better in the new enclosure...... here is a comparison:

A.jpg

Plastic volume Knob, pretty gross looking headphone socket and an enclosure that lacks style

Latest version with solid aluminium volume Knob, high quality headphone socket and a lovely brushed aluminium enclosure.

I know which one I'd go for

Absolutely, Pinkie, I agree. The new amp casing is awesome, IMO.

The new case makes it look far classier.
As the internals are the same, though, is it worth an extra £50? I hope so as a lot of effort has gone into developing this amp.
