Yes, but normally people HAVE to open the bonnet of their car, to check oil and fill up fluid bottles. Opening up electronic items like that usually has the effect of invalidating the warranty, if the manufacturer finds out. Not saying that would happen in this case, but I know I would not be opening it up for no reason.
