Can anyone recommend a good, solid headphone amp or dac+amp *with remote control* for somewhere in the $200 vicinity?

Doesn't need to be balanced. Does need to have 6.35 mm. jack. Above all needs to have remote control.

Thanks!

Appreciate the recommendation -- really want a native 6.35 mm. jack though.
For something that works with a remote and with in a $200 budget, you options are very limited.

If I bumped it up to $300-350, would that open up some options?

Probably some bulky speaker amp with a sucky headphone output.

The reality is if you're at this low price range the parts and research budget would go to the essential stuff for driving the headphone (ie the amp circuit) or the decoding circuit (ie the DAC stage) and leave no space for bells and whistles like a remote, considering that in this price range you're just as likely to find basically a circuit board screwed to a plexiglass plate with a plexiglass top cover and wide open sides all around for dust, just to put more money into the circuit and power supply while ditching non-essentials. If they can ditch a real chassis (much less one that's copper-coated), they're even more likely to not even think of a remote for a product that's expected to be within arm's reach.

You're gonna have to bump it up to something like the AudioGD NFB-29 if you want a good amp circuit with a remote control.

This is about the only decent one I can find, it is a little more then target price. It has the remote and 1/4 headphone and gets great reviews.
However it would be somewhat a wast if its other features was not used. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_252PBS2DB/Pro-Ject-Pre-Box-S2-Digital-Black.html?tp=48510
It has 36 pages dedicated to it here on head fi, don't know if you could use a good dac and preamp.
