Hello fellow headphone geeks!
So i'm looking for a good card for both music listening and some home recording. Well sort of... it's actually something like a studio, so i can use all the mixers, mikes, compressors etc. Now i need a good (and cheap) card for recording. But there are a few "but's" - firstly since i'll be doing all the mixing with headphones and i don't have an amp (yet) i need a card with decent headphone output(s). Or should i get an amp? The second thing is... i'd like more than two (or one - balanced) inputs since i'd like to record all the buses on my mixer separately. The E-MU 1820 has all of these covered (and more) but it costs around 400 euros and i wouldn't like to spend that much if i don't have to. There is the ESP1010 from ESI but i don't know about that one. So... any suggestions?

With your budged, there are not many choices left after you mentioned the ESI ESP1010

ESI ESP1010 - http://www.esi-pro.com/viewProduct.php?pid=54&page=1
Audiotrak MAYA1010 (~200€-250€) - http://www.audiotrak.net/maya1010.htm
M-Audio 1010 (~400€) & 1010LT (~200€) - http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=...=pciinterfaces

RMAA results for ESI ESP1010 and M-Audio 1010 - http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showp...7&postcount=89

One interesting system to suggest would be
