May I ask how did you guys pay for your CIEMs? Via PayPal or what ? Thanks! I have also heard that someone send their payment via the mail of impression . Will this put my deal in risk?

They will bill you via PayPal. It's the safest route.

I am a little confused about which company to go with and which product to order.  I play on a worship team at church with some great players and sit in from time to time with a band in clubs. I was so pumped about 1964 ears and the V-6, I know people who have 1964 IEM'S and have heard and read great things about the customer service. So, I was sold on the V-6, until I emailed 1964 twice and called them several times.  The 1964 customer service rep had very short answers to my questions. Since, I am a guitar player, I ask about the setup of the V-6, such as, are there Low Mid, High Mid drivers in the product ....and so on and so on.  Totally disappointed in the non-helpful responses to all my questions. Same way with the emails, I received very short generic answers to my questions from 1964 Ears.  So, I called Alien Ears and the guy was very helpful.  We talked about the G-10, which has a bass driver, Low Mid Driver, Mid Driver, High Driver and a tweeter.  He was so helpful, that I am totally confused now about which company to go with.

So here is my question.  I am confused about all the great customer service reviews, Im reading about 1964 because I did not experience that?  I am also confused as to which is a better IEM, the 1964 V-6 or the Alien Ear G-10. To be honest I don't know a lot about IEM's or either one of these companies, other than what I have experience so far with customer service from both companies?  I would really appreciate any help and advice anyone can give me?  Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing everyones response.

I too faced similar issues, with responses taking 2-3 business days or even more. Incomplete single word responses. They never pick up calls, and voice mail never gets answered back. :frowning2:

Due to the delays in their response, I was forced to place a rush order (as I needed the IEMs by a particular date. I hope their service will be good after the purchase, but my first impression with this company has been disappointing.

Paid for my Quads with a money order. Seemed to take 1-2 days off of the wait time. The lead singer in my band ordered by using his card (or PayPal) and he ordered 2-3 days before I did, got them a day apart. I think it's because they didn't have to email me for permission to charge my card etc.

i was wondering if you guys are sharing my experience.
i got my CIEM now for 2 days , sometimes when i put them in pressure builds up in my ear canal by wiggling the CIEM a little pressure leave but so does the "golden seal" and the isolation becomes less good as before. pressure might build up because i've got a cold not sure though.

I think so, since I try the demo of v3 with my FiiO E7. I found it the soundstage was slightly larger and mids-bass was a little bit richer. I think that's the improvement with amp. But in my opinion , I think without amped isn't a bad idea, and I'll prefer just use my iPhone for daily usesage. As it is the most efficient way.

How does the 1964 V6, 1964 Q, and 1964 V3 sound compared to the W4/R? Would it be conisdered an upgrade to get any one of the three? I plan on purchasing in about four months and right now, it looks like I will go with 1964 Ears or Heir 6/8. Thanks in advance.
