Please also try Spinfits.   These are hands down the best sealing tips and they let the full frequency response shine.  I couldn't get a good seal with any of the stock tips but the Spinfits saved me!

amazing as i never got a good seal with spinfits and they poorly isolate and bass is really affected negatively

the best so far are westone, rha, sony hybrids, and comply

@hykhleif
I saw your image earlier with the Westone tips.... The westone bore/stem isn't anywhere near as thick as the U series, so having the tip pulled all way flush your earphones, does this cause any problems with comfort/sound? I'd assume not as you are recommending them, but normally I wouldn't install an ear tip that far down a stem.

the reason i pulled them down so far is because i did not want to cover the earpiece and have any effect on sound, as westone have small bores.

westones are very comfortable much more than anything i tried and the bass is really amazing with them

sony hybrids also sound so good and might be actually the best sounding ones but are the worst in comfort and hurt my ears even when using medium size. if the hybrid filled sony tips were comfortable they would win hands down in sq especially for bass lovers

rha are really amazing as well sound like westone but with tiny tiny tiny less bass, but are super comfortable, they certainly can be the best there is for long long sessions of listening.

comply sounds great but i hate foam

spinfit to me where i tried all sizes they lack bass do not isolate and i have so much difficulty getting a seal

Thanks mate. I'm a big fan of the Westone star tips so I bought the mixed pack with the True fit foamies (which I don't really use, dislike foam also), and use them on most earphones where possible. Didn't try them on my U8's as I didnt think they would fit and in the meantime  I've had the Sony hybrids on, which I've had no issues with comfort. Only thing that is damn annoying me when listening is the fact I have small amount of fluids in both ears, which I can't seem to get rid of, even with prescription meds. Going to see a specialist soon and get that sorted!

The RHA tips are quite expensive I've noticed. Know any where that sells them for a decent price?

Got a set of SureSeal's coming and also some Philips ones.

tell me how they compare

rha are expensive but i had to get them, as sometimes for long long long sessions they are they ones i go for, and they have a different sound sig than westone, where i feel they give more treble despite that the westone is fitted flush

hopefully sony would release new hyrbids that do not hurt the ears as it seems the concensus is that many suffer from ear ache from them, i can not tolerate 30 minutes using the sony ones

jvc spiral dots were the worst not seal whatsover for me, and sounded the worst although i tried all sizes

since we are talking about tips, aren't there new ideas for universal tips or a new company that offer something new

Will update once I receive them.

Annoying thing with the RHA tips is they don't come in an assorted pack (Spiral dots too). So there's a chance I may be left with 7 sets of one size which don't even fit my ears.

I'm using the Sony hybrids (minus the foam inserts version), wouldn't mind trying the foam ones but dont know who sells them.
After the Spinfits, I don't know of anything newer.

Also, it would be nice if the 'good' tips weren't so pricey. I mean, surely they don't cost that much to produce

I live in Australia, and it's only normal for us to get ripped off, the RHA retailer here is asking $35aud for a set of tips. I don't think I can justify that on little silicone tips.... edit: actually RHA themselves charge a similar price overseas once converted.

I believe the foam ones are 'noise isolation' ones, model EP-EXN50. The hybrid (non foam) ones are the EP-EX10A.

I'll check ebay, hopefully I can find some RHA ones a little cheaper.

no need as i just figured out what really drove me insane, so what happened i was away for few days and only had the u12 and the ak380, and i had the album 25 by adele, and played the song hello which was ripped from a CD, and i just kept hearing the bass as if its coming from the right, so I thought man is my left ear having hearing loss, or is my u12 left side not working right, so just today I went to the ak380 thread and it was confirmed by Jazzi that he hears the same thing the bass coming more from the right and piano from the left, which was insane as how could this great song be mastered this way, and when i came home one day I tried other iems and all were showing the same result the bass is coming more from the right in Hello.

the youtube version is mastered differently than the album version

What a strange mixing for that song, and I do not know what wisdom in mixing such a song that way.

So anyway other than that song all other songs and albums sound dam great centered and have the best imaging on u12

Hmmm.... Both (youtube and album) sounded the same to me - Piano was a bit off to the left (with the high notes at around the centre) and the bass was a bit off to the right. The drums were right behind and the kick was also a bit off to the right too.

But I am using A6 instead of U/A12.

While we can all sort of agree on a sound signature of different headphone models, eartips are heavily dependent on your ear anatomy.  It's awesome that so many people share their fitment experience.  I would have never even thought about trying narrow bore Westone or Shure tips with ADEL, so all this info is very useful.  But keep in mind, because it works for one person - there is absolutely no guarantee it will work for another.  I can't get to work any of the SpinFit tips because of the shape of their eartip cap, while for others it's a life safer.  So don't get discouraged, just keep trying and going through different types and different sizes within a type.  Tighter fitment gives you the most rewarding benefit

Oh, and yeah, I'm still talking about the ears

Not sure if people are still going on here for updates, but I got an e-mail from 64 Audio last night notifying me of an upgrade option. I am going to go through with it but I'll be going from the Qi to the A4.
