16GB Dap with the best SQ?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a 16GB dap and i'm currently stuck between the NWZ829 and the Samsung P2, both of which are meant to have top sound quality, but i'm not sure which one to choose?!

what would you suggest?

The sony definitely. Or you could go for a D2 with a memory card

Sony...I heard the Samsung, but without my earphones...so this statement is a little bit biased. I tried many other DAPs with my Shure SE420 earphones (including Cowon) & found none that could match the Sony Walkman for Sound Quality. Of course, this is my personnal taste, and other people might prefer the Cowon's sound...

Definitely go for Sony...
I've compared Sony A818 with Kenwood HD20GA7 with all EQs off.
A818 is almost as good as HD20GA7.
I've also heard Cowon D2 before. I personally don't like the sound and tone(Cold and mechanical).
So I would choose either NWZ829 or NWZ729

I said "I have the D2 and can't like it any more" I meant that I love it soo much that I can't like it any more than what I already do......hmm may be it is poor english.. but yeah coming back to topic I must say I am super impressed by the D2 quality and would highly recommend it..

Why not? Out of the line out the iPod Touch has the same sound quality as any other DAP. And I'm not too sure on this, but isn't the line out on the iPods unamped? So you don't amplify the sound twice unlike some other DAPs when you add an amp to the system.

I recently put an order in for an 8GB D2, but since the order hasn't shipped yet I'm wondering if I should get the 16GB Creative Zen.

Which one has the better sound quality, and which one is better value for money?

I'm even using my Touch straight out of the headphone jack for the time being, more than good enough for me

I'd still get the Sony over the Touch. The Touch still has many quirks that apple needs to figure out. Best get the Sony for now, and wait for better versions of the Touch. Based on what I've heard a newer version of the Touch is coming out soon.

What quirks are we talking about? I honestly don't know what quirks you are talking about, can you be a little more specific please? I'm not trying to start an argument but I honestly don't know what you may be talking about.
