Hey guys.

What could I buy for around ~$150 USD new. MAX is $190.

I listen to rock, alternative, electronic, and some hip-hop and pop. These need to be unamped from my iPod and computer (MacBook).

I want it to be closed (doesn't need isolation, but not much leakage), light-weight (on the head), comfortable (wearing for a long time), and maybe some extra perks (replaceable cable, velour pads?).

I don't mind buying an amp+headphone combo, if it's still under the price range.

I'm thinking about the K 271 MK II, K 240 MK II, M50, and maybe a SRH840.

Thanks!

What he said. I really like the K271 too. Haven't heard the Shures.

Do you have the M50? Which would be better for me?

The Shure is the first closed-back headphone that I've been comfortable with sound-wise, because it really doesn't sound like the soundstage is closed in. But they definitely aren't the lightest headphones around.
