11 New Sony BA IEMs

A sumo wrestler will have considerably narrower ear canals than a normal human being, as fat deposits itself everywhere on the human body.

This is an issue with custom IEM's, if you rapidly lose or gain say 25kg's then your custom IEM's will no longer fit properly and you'll require a reshell.

The model in the picture was of normal weight, however.

Am I the only one interested in the dual-BA model?...IMO more than that just destroys clarity e.g. se535 w3 CK100 TF10 etc etc

Why? Personally I think the triple BA sounds good. And the TF10 is as clear as day to me, ergonomics and seal notwithstanding...

edit: There doesn't seem to be crossovers in these IEMs. Any ideas?

I share the same opinion, but let's wait for first reviews. It's too big, fit can be a problem, but lets wait and see.

That is EXACLY how I'd compare these.

But it looks like I'll have to get both XBA-2 and 3 and see if 2>3

Actually, I have to agree with Yggdrasil!

CK10 > CK100

UE700 > TF10.

SE425 > SE535.

=P

Still, I have my eye on the XBA-3, lol.

According to one of the latest reports on AV Watch Impress japanese articles, the XBA 1/2/3/4 has being postponed definitely to December 10th, instead of November 10th as previously reported. I'm quite sure that this news affects the whole retail distribution not only in Japan, but also for countries located in Asia or outside of Asia as well due to the recent Thailand flood crisis. :frowning2:
