$100 to spend on new cans

I have been considering the HD555s as well. Other than the fact that they are open, they seem to fit what I am looking for; I can reconsider wanting only closed.

If you consider open cans. the 555s or the ad700s are the way to go IMO

Well, if you'd be willing maybe spend at most $15 more, and then shipping, you could get a pair of Audio Technica ATH-AD700's which sound incredible, in my opinion. Balanced, clear, open-sounding... just great.

I'd stay clear of the less legitimate looking websites. The second page of results there shows a price from Buy.com - Computers, Electronics, Digital Cameras, Books, DVDs, Music, Games, Software, Toys, Sports which is legitimate, and it's only like $110 total, free shipping. Pretty good price for an incredible pair of headphones. You get a lot for the money.

Edit: Oh, not to mention they are incredibly comfortable. I sometimes wear them for hours and I can't even notice they're there.
