These are drop-in replacements for those cheap LN5534 op amps that are cluttering up so many a CDP!! They sound better to me than anything else I have tried, which includes the stock LN5534s, AD843s and OPA627s. I haven't compared them to the famous AD8610s, but those may be next on my list!!!

PM me if you're interested in buying these. They sell for $27 a piece thru LC Audio's importer, www.diycable.com but can be bought for only $27 for the pair thru www.upscaleaudio.com But I will sell them off for $22 plus $2 shipping. They are totally new and have never even been placed in my CDP as I bought an extra pair that I didn't need. They also include a protective plastic box.

See the photo here to get an idea of what they look like and how well they are built:

The caps on the end are listed as "decoupling caps" and suppsoedly help with the sound. I can't argue as they sound really good.

Thanks & Lord Bless,

Hi,
What is the minimum voltage for this amp? Is it better than AD845? Thanks.

It will work with + or - 5 to 15 volts. It seems more stable at lower voltages than other op amps like the Burr Brown OPA627. The 627s sounded absolutely awful in my CDP, but these sound wonderful.

Not sure how these compare to the 843s, but I should be getting my 843s tomorrow, so I will let you know once I compare the two.

Purk,

I am currently running a set of AD843s in the CDP, and so far I prefer the 825 modules to them. I will try and do some more specific listening and A/B the two op amps and see what I think and let you know what I hear.
