Funny asking this question for an audio device designed for recording, but I have a simple microphone that connects with a 1/8" plug.

From anybody who's tried, is it worth investing in an adapter? will it give me the capability to record from the mic to where I can use it to chat in MSN and games for example?

Thanks,

Not realy. The 0404 uses a line-level input. This means that even with an adapter, your mic wouldn't produce any sound. You'd need a real mic with a mic preamp, and then fiddle with PatchMix to get things working in MSN and your games.

Or, if your motherboard has onboard sound, you can just plug your mic into the mic input on that and set it as the default voice and sound recording device in the Windows control panel while keeping your 0404 as the output.
