Hello all,
I'm really interested in using a dac/amp I'm looking for some advice.
I currently have the AV710 (I've owned this thing for years without knowing it was, apparently, a pretty nice card).
The earphones involved: Grado SR60's and Shure SE210's.
I'm currently considering the 0202 USB, since it's got what I want, and it's USB (so i can take my audio to the office, and whatnot). I've heard some great things about the 0202. I understand that the 0202 is weak as an amp, but guessing it will easily drive my low impedance phones.
Another option I'm thinking about is an (AV-710 + wolfson dac mod - onboard amp) -> amp route. But then the question is, which amp?
So I suppose the price range we're talking about here is ~$100 (price of 0202).
Also, what do I stand to gain from either setup over just using the typical output on the av710 (not pursuing the mod right now since i have no amp!).
