Recently picked up Cytus II. Really reminds me of the original Cytus, in both good and bad ways. Starting to enjoy it though.

Anyone else tried this game?

Don't know if anyone here is interested in this. If so...OTOY just dropped this bomb.

Now a free tier for those using up to 2 GPUs? :D

This is fun!

Hi everyone! First-time poster to this thread here. I'm sure that this question has probably already been answered somewhere in this thread, but is there a "flagship" anime awards ceremony that is considered the ultimate awards ceremony, sort of like the Oscars here in the U.S.?

Thank you so much!

So a buddy got into a motorcycle accident, he's luckily escaped any serious injury (don't lane filter between two trucks smh, his foot got run over twice, lucky no fractures!), which means he needed to buy a cheapo car for work. We got a '99 Civic for 1.7k dollarydoos and as is tradition, we rented a carpet cleaner (vacuum with hot water extraction squirty thing).

Three and a half buckets of this: (took me 2.5 hours)

On the flip side the interior is feeling nice and fresh now for the first time in 19 years. XD

Unfortunately there's no one-stop shop for anime awards. The Oscars get a lot of hate but the reality is that almost every movie that gets an Oscar nomination, are probably pretty good movies. The most deserving doesn't always win but that's just how awards go anyway.

For anime the big ones would be:

1) The Seiyu Awards for the voice actors. The people in the industry treat this one like it's a pretty big deal for your career so it has some meaning, though it seems more like a popularity contest than you'd like. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seiyu_Awards

2) The Japan Academy Prize. The closest thing to the Oscars in Japan. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Academy_Prize_(film_award)

3) The Japan Media Arts Festival. This is probably closer to the Cannes Film Festival in level of prestige. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Media_Arts_Festival

4) Finally, the French Annecy International Animated Film Festival. The smelly French (looks @castleofargh ) love anime and manga and have a rich history in animation of their own. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annecy_International_Animated_Film_Festival

So in my opinion, if you watch for these awards and the same movie is nominated or wins at most of them, it's probably pretty damn good.... most of the time
