Sooooo you're finally using Lightroom eh? I forgot you'd switched over, I thought you liked whatever previous solution you had for managing photos more instead.
 
And I know that feel. My laptop's CPU gets pegged pretty hard too trying to do lightroom tasks. You should be soooooo much better off with a desktop CPU.

Yeah the 8 core chippies are in enthusiast territory, the 6-core line look to be incredible value for general 'prosumer' uses.
 
Hmmmmm might get a 1700X, the ol' 3770k is starting to struggle with financial simulations and I'd appreciate something twice as fast.
 
I wonder how good the b350 is vs the x370 at overclocking, was there any conclusive evidence that ten thousand phases made any difference at all on the Intel side?

 
The only difference between X370 and B350 is the number of USB, SATA ports, and PCIe lanes along with crossfire support. Overclocking performance will depend on your chip and the motherboard's power delivery system.
 
As dumb as it sounds that B350 doesn't support multiple GPUs, it makes a lot of sense given the current direction of GPUs. Most people only get one GPU and Crossfire/SLI is now capped at 2 cards max. Scaling past 2 cards is pretty garbage from what I remember so there's really no loss there; you just won't be seeing people trying to get as much epeen by doing 4 card setups.
