I'll try to play translator. I think he is asking whether the LCD-2 is as forgiving with poor-quality tracks as the LCD-2C is. As in, he seems to think that his LCD-2C allowed him to enjoy music that was recorded poorly, and is worried that the LCD-2 might reveal the poor quality in a way that is less enjoyable. I guess he can correct me if that's not what he meant.

That's not really how headphones work. They can each play any kind of digital resolution file they are being fed. One is open, one is closed.
