I would guess the speaker out would be line-level and the headphone out wouldn't.
Either way, as long as you had a volume that wasn't causing you pain the headphones will be fine.

Nah, no worries. I checked the manual he posted, and it turns out the green "speaker" out is the headphone out. And, to the best of my recollection, the [onboard?] sound card didn't have a line out.
