Sony has finally updated their site with pricing.  To my surprise, it retails for $349 and not the $499 price of the MDR-EX1000.  Does anyone know what the MDR-7550 is based on?  Perhaps the MDR-EX600?

The DT250 pads are SO COMFORTABLE! I just quickly replaced the pads and have not put in the cloth stuff in the middle back yet. They are so comfortable, not so hot & sweaty feeling, and the bass is better, even with the cloth grills missing.

I thought this was weird, but last night when I checked amazon for the v6's it listed as only 10 left in stock and when I went on in the morning to order a set they were all sold out! I thought that was weird. I didn't think the v6's still sold that well, boy was I wrong.

I love that my MDR-7506 is all metal housing.  I've been eyeing the MDR-7509HD to add to my collection.  Is the MDR-7509HD all metal too?  Where was yours made in?  My MDR-7506 was made in Japan.
