    Little Dot I+ Questions

I received my little dot I+ yesterday and I have haven't heard the amazing increase in SQ many spout off about here. Listening with my SR325is' I'm not even sure if any audible improvement isn't placebo. That's besides the point. I have a couple quick questions regarding the amp...

    Sell everything for a RS1?

Hey guys, here is a quick story on my journey here.  Bought the SR80i and was amazed at the sound I was hearing, so many things I had been missing in my music all these years. A couple of months go by and I was wanted something with more bass so I ended up buying the Denon D2000.  These were...

    Grado SR325i Question(s)

Heya,   So I picked up some 325 goldies. But I'm concerned about them. They terminate into a 3.5mm jack (which says Grado on the side of the plug). Has a gold 1/4th adapter. I thought they were supposed to terminate into 1/4"? Both the past 325 and new 325 terminuate to 1/4". The drivers...

    Grado Diminishing Returns

In October I'm going to take the plunge on a set of Grados. I'm trying to decide which set. I'm pretty set on the 80s, but was wondering if the extra cash to go to the 125s is worth the cost? That's as much as I'm willing to spend (150) but would rather not go quite that high.   I love my...

For the Love of God, Help Me Prove to my Friend Beats Suck Ass

So, my friend mike doesn't believe that Beats are terrible, or, to be totally correct, are godawful for their price point. I just want some posts to help me drive home this fact to him. He listens to rock a lot so I'm going to recommend Grados to him, the 325is to be exact.   Discuss.

Buy sr225i/325is or Trade mspro for rs1i?

Hi guys, today I have a chance to auditioned a pair of grado sr80 (non-i version), and I prefer its sound to my mspro.   I spend most of time listen to rock/metal music, what I love about sr80s is their agressive treble, it makes rock/metal music really engaging, the highs of mspro...

Grado SR 60/80/125/225: What's Your Preference

Having in the last 3 months bought a new pair of behind-the-neck on-ear headphones (ok-ish, poorly built but decent sounding Sennheisers. A part of the band actually split, though the sound wasn't affected and the issue is remedied with a combo of superglue to prevent further breakage and black...

How important is distortion in choosing headphones?

Edit:  D'oh!  Typo in the title but I can't seem to edit it.  It should be "How important is distortion *in* choosing headphones?"     Hi Folks,   I'm getting close to buying my first set of "real" headphones.  I'm coming from the speaker world where I've dabbled in designing...

    Difference on Pads for SR80i?

Just picked up a pair of SR 80i's - should I stick with the stock pads or go to something else? I see a lot of people using sennheiser pads, but I want the best performance out of these cans. The stock flat foam pads actually are pretty comfortable, so I dont have any issues with that currently.

Hello,   I bought some Shure Srh840 and although they do sound nice, I find them a bit overly laid back and the treble is a bit thin, also the cable is annoying lol....   I tried out some Grado 325i today and although they do sound very nice apparently they 225i (my price range) are...

Nervous first-time buyer... I fear this may be an expensive post.

Hi there,   I'm currently rocking the stock iPod headphones (haha) but tried the B&W P5s yesterday and thought they were pretty decent. Obviously, having read around this forum a bit I'm realising that the SQ doesn't quite match the build quality and have been looking for a suitable...
