    December 2013 Mid-Level DAC Comparison

Folks:   I intend to do a comparison of mid-level (~$500-2500) DACs in December 2013.  I will test multiple DACs and keep the one I like the best.  Period.  Everything else gets sent away.  If I end up liking my current $200 Emotiva XDA-1 best, that's the one I'll keep and everything new gets...

    Bare Bones Dac Suggestions

Hi guys, I know there are a ton of threads like this, but none of them seemed to quite address this particular use-case, so if I just missed one, I apologize. I'm looking for a super simple dac recommendation. I don't mean simple as in crappy, but simple as in, I don't need or want USB or...

Passive Volume Control w/ USB DAC

I'm moving from a sound card to a dedicated USB DAC. The DAC has no volume control and I'm using a pair of M-Audio BX5a Deluxe monitors. Controlling volume from Windows is a pain and adjusting the volume at the back of each is worse. I was considering a USB knob like the PowerMate one when I...
