This Yulong newly released digital interface is meant to overcome the weakness of a typical computer Hi-Fi system with USB output.
Most laptops today have multiple USB outputs for sending digital music to your external DAC (digital to analog converter) then to an amplifier, but you may find the very high end DAC's do not always come with USB input to receive such signal directly, due to the inherent weak signal quality from USB. This Yulong U18 USB interface will solve such a problem by giving you a high end interface to buffer between laptops USB output to high end DAC's digial input (typically includes coaxial, optical and AES) and re-clock the signal to further reduce jitter before the digital signal is converted to analog signal.
It is at the same quality level of the Yulong Sabre reference series and match perfectly with the Yulong Sabre D18 32bit DAC.
