Package Content
Tronsmart Element T2 comes in a tough and nice packaging. Well protected no doubt. And it surely is an outdoor Bluetooth speaker too. Why? There are stylish carabiner and durable lanyard for you to attach speaker to your backpack or anyplace you want. Of course, there are the usual 3.5mm audio cable, micro USB charging cable, warranty card and user manual (in multiple languages).

Build Quality & Design
Build quality is top-notch with sturdy frame. Its matte coated housing gives the rubberize feel when touch by the way. And has 2 metal speaker grills on both sides. All the control buttons are located on top including 'D' ring for lanyard, LED status indicator and microphone. AUX, micro USB ports and micro SD slot are covered. Finally, 2 strong anti-skid pads at the bottom to provide stability. As usual, do check out below photos for details...

Performance Result
Tronsmart Element T2 has the best Bluetooth range among all my Bluetooth speakers. Well done, Tronsmart. Easily passed the 10m Bluetooth range in straight sight line with no obstacle test. And up to 8m+ with obstacles like walls. As for True Wireless Stereo function, it is working excellent. Pairing Element T2 speakers with TWS is really simple with just a single button. And you can place them far away (more than 7m) to enjoy the true stereo effects. Furthermore, it has virtually no lag between video and audio for iOS and Windows PC (Android devices have slightly lag). It's my current sound system for Jumper EZbook 3 Pro budget Ultrabook on the go. Great for movie, games and music no doubt. As usual, there is AUX in port for non-Bluetooth devices.

24 hours non-stop music playback on 1900mAh battery. Yup, that's the test done with 1 Element T2 speaker on average room sound level. As usual, battery life will be shorter when play louder. And longer if you pair 2 of them. In short, it has more than enough battery life for whole day entertainment. And requires around 3.5 hours for self fully charged. By the way, there is battery life indicator on both iOS and Android devices. And the LED light blinking red and blue with beep notification sound when battery is low.

Speakerphone is supported for conference call in a small group. Or you can use it as hand free mode. Phone call quality is good. Other can hear my voice loud and clear. Same apply to myself too. As usual, closer to microphone == clearer voice. Before I forget, Element T2 has built-in MP3 player too. It will start playing your favourite songs right after plugged in micro SD with MP3. And IPX56 waterproof rating is great to protect it from water splashes and raining.

Sound Quality
It's all about bass? Not quite, but Tronsmart Element T2 does have powerful bass for its compact size. Balanced toward warm sound signature is what you will get. Highs are smooth and no harsh at all. Details are there but not as much when compare to bright sound speaker. Mids are decent with clear and organic vocals. Bass is the star. Powerful yet in control. Furthermore, it can go really loud without any distortion. That's great! Songs like Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean, Beat It and Black or White surely get different feel with it.

Tronsmart T2 review :

I want to thank Tronsmart for sending me this Bluetooth speaker for free in exchange of my honnest review. They contact me out of the blue, and I did not know this brand until now. I just begin to be interested in Bluetooth technology and will try different products (iem and speakers) in the futur.

Construction and Design :

The T2 have a low profile design, sober and similar to alot of other BT portable speaker that is sleek and classy. It look sturdy but not bullet proof sturdy, If you drop it on the ground I think it can broke if chance is against you. Because the botton are cover by the plastic I think it can deal with some drop of water but the mic hole is on the top so water can infiltrate there and I could not suggest to use it while it rain (who listen music under the rain with a speaker anyway?). About botton, there volume control (that serve for changing track too by holding + or -), play-pause, BT and on-off. On the left side you can find audio in, usb charge and a microsd slot. I try to play music with microsd and it work, sound is less good tough and you can’t choose folder, just changing tracks. All in all, you get great construction quality for a little price with the Tronsmart. PS: It include in the box a 18 months warranty card (!!), a micro usb charging cable, a 3.5 mm aux cable, a lanyard and user manual.

Sound :

So, I compare this BT speaker with the only other one I have wich is a Ecoxgear Ecorox that I paid 60$ (USD) in the time, with the fact that the Tronsmart T2 cost 22$ it’s a little unfair to compare those two...but unfair for who????

Plain simple I say both have great constuction but Ecorox look a little more sturdy and have an extra back-foward botton for changing track. It’s a little smaller but it is larger and a little heavier. Visually I prefer sober look of T2 as i’m not really into ‘’sport looking’’ style.

P8010018.JPG

Sound wise these two have a different soundsignature, but first thing I test with little speaker is if they produce distortion at max volume : Ecoxgear do produce distortion and melt soundfrequencies badly when sound is too high, T2 never produce any distortion wathever music I trow at him. Eco have a more bright sound with a little more details, but these details can hiss and distort (metal grill on top vibrate easily) while the T2 have a more warm and very bassy sound that never feel harsh but can feel not enough airy for some. Battery life of T2 is 12hour while Ecorox is 10. Another very impressive fact about T2 is that it’s the big king of all my BT speakers and earphone when it come to signal distance, when I test this I can’t beleive it : 20 meter!!!!! Yep. And as all the other, Ecorox struggle to get 10 meter of signal distance.

Tronsmart T2 have lot of bass for it’s size and it’s suprising it do not cause distortion because the speaker vibrate alot at max volume. Soundsignature is V Shape and mids frequencies aren’t fowards, but because sound is exempt of bad sound tweaking and even if bass veil mids, sound is well presented and got enough details to be enjoyed, sound volume can go very high for this size and to get the better sound experience speaker should be directed to your head. The serious punch that bass give to soundspectrum make an exciting portable listen but will be overwhelming with too complexly layered electronic music. For pop and instrumental it really is a good sound value wich by all honnesty I find more enjoyable than my 60$ Ecoxgear.

P8010019.JPG

In conclusion, the Tronsmart T2 is an incredible value for an entry level portable bluetooth speaker, because under 100$ it’s already difficult to just find an okay sounding one that will not distort or create overly congested sound at high volume. The T2 cannot really compet with high end model of Sony, Denon or Bose when it come to clarity and details, but is surely one of the best value in 25-75$ price range because of it's sturdy construction, distortion free sound and incredibly far bluetooth reception. For value I give a big enthusiast FIVE stars, for sound a FOUR stars, and construction 4.5 stars. All in all, this is a really really good deal for a very pratical and well thinked bluetooth speaker!
