I grew up always thinking and that was probably due to my mother's constant help keeping my mind busy with things such as reading books such as "
choose your own adventure" and magazines such as
Highlights magazine, and of course doing all kinds of puzzle games, mazes, crosswords and the like. I eventually got into physical puzzles and I bought many of my collection from a place here on Long Island NY called
Tavern Puzzle. Well, I needed stands to display the puzzles, I couldn't "stand" leaving them on my desk or in a drawer - who will remember them once put away? So I bought some stands- for the puzzles. Fast forward - Since then I have moved into a few different homes and eventually got married and had kids of my own- but still loving these wonderful metal puzzles- sharing these things with my kids now... enter my lovely understanding wife...
One day my wife said "those puzzles go down stairs now"- not sure how they all of a sudden were outcasts - but I think she was sick of seeing them. So, just the other day I decided to take 5 of the stands out and bring upstairs to try them as headphone stands- and here we are today.... (sorry long story) my recommendation for a new headphone stand priced reasonably at $15.
See pictures... I think we may break the guys web site if you visit
Tavern Puzzles but certainly I wanted to share this...
