I bought this Recorder last year from a online shop, after I had been listening to both M10 and D50. By percentage, I'd say the sound quality of D50 is 20-30% higher than M10, but in my opinion, 20-30% means the difference between perfection and damaged goods.

And how does it fare against the MZ-RH1 MiniDisc recorder? If the M10 is already much better, you needn't add more.

This makes no sense. You found nothing to retract on design?
There is no doubt that this is first and foremost a recorder, as a player the UI is an absolute pain.

Contrary to the Hi-MD Walkman, that without an embedded microphone, is the last Sony Walkman that is both a great recorder and a great player, especially with the optional RM-MC40ELK wired remote.
