I wonder if --now that it's discontinued-- it will become a legend like the AKG K1000... it's probably the last headphone Sony will ever make using their patented nanocomposite bacterial yogurt material.

I've always wanted to try these and this review makes me want them more.
A lot of people say they rival some high end cans.

it's not as good as the flagships (T1, HD800, etc) but it's far more detailed and that's really the only thing it has that's better

but the SA5000 is best enjoyed when you have a decent headphone collection, as a sole headphone, I would not use it

Despite all the cons, I still really love the SA5000, I can't really explain why
