New Head-Fier
Pros: sound quality on par with m40x, good details, punchy bass from53mm a very good price to performance ratio, works out with m50 pads, one year warranty.
Cons: kinda cheeap construction, a bit tight over head, long coiled cable, regret why i bought m40x, dj100, gemini djx-07
i was hesitating when buying this headphone from BH newyork just for $16. now i feel after listening it was a right move make. this is a very good headphone for the price what you pay. mids are good , bass is good, highs are fine. nothing is recessed, good sensitivity, good sound-stage
if you are trying to buy ath m40x i highly recommend buy these for less then $30 or when it is on sale for $16.
by nowhere this can looks cheap or feels cheap. currently i am comparing jvc has400 with this tascam th-2000 and i feel these tascams are fine sounding can than my has400 jvc. tascam have more refined sound. i have geminihrs1000 and to me these both sound same . there is not a big difference in sound.

ATH-M40x Is on a whole new level compared to these. The soundstage in the review cans are lackluster. Sure, it's a cute sounding pair of cans, but they stick in the Mids.
No, this isn't a headphone that's fully focused in the Lower End Range like most things in this range, and shockingly, they are balanced, but comparing them to the M40x is a no-no.
