: pretty amazing detail (bass, mids, treble) for the prize, pretty easy to drive loudly, loud bass if you're into that
: Sound Stage is not great and the mid high isn't quite as natural as i wanted (could be brighter),comfort could be a bit better
The Philips SHL-4500Wt is mostly good with amazing details you can get at the bass, mids, and even treble at this price point.
The headphones mostly centers around the bass, if you're ever hearing music the bass will most certainly overpower the rest in volume. It almost feels like your're surrounded with woofers and subwoofers and theres a 2 tweeter and midrange speakers in front.
The sound stage isn't quite great.Hence, the confusion when using it very loudly in a song that is uncompatible with the sound signature of these headphones, it will feel like the sound is coming from basically everywhere in your head.
The other thing about this headphones is the strong clamp of the headband, i personally don't quite like it , the hair around my ear starts to sweat easily after around 5 mins of listening music to a pretty loud volume.
The last thing about this headphones is the mid-highs around 1,2k ish it's oddly tuned down,so the mids are loud but when a high frequency vocalist starts to sing the sound feels like it couldn't fly it sounds like theres a ceiling above the sound preventing it to spread out (mostly because the highs on certain frequency which are recessed)
Overall, if you've never tried a decent headphones in your life and at this price point this would certainly be an amazing buy.
