I tried a new set, for the price it is not too bad, but the treble can be glaring for some recordings. So, main complaint is the treble peak, probably around 6-7 kHz, which is quite annoying for me. The rest is decent. But if you don't need a closed back, get Somic V2 which sounds way better than this Zoro II.
Earfonia, I think youbare spot on on the peak. When I checked again the FR plot from Tyll site, I saw a little peak on 7-8K not even passing the medium and bass range. Tyll praise d this Zorro II quite high, and telling that it is very balanced; that what made me decide to buy it. So I'm surprised to hear that the peak could be that bad.
My courious asking about colour was because, all review that praise these high seems to have blue unit. Makes me wonder if different color might be coming from different factory...
