Wow, what a review! I owned a ECBA with KR PX4 tubes, but the best amp I heard is a HE9 (with HD800, LCD-4, Susvara and HE1000 V2), really curious about the Niimbus.

Fantastic write-up. I wish you'd stated what tubes were in the Studio Six, as that makes all the difference. I've noticed some owners fill them with, say, Sylvania tubes and overdo things.

Thanks everyone! Amos, I know you like the Studio Six, and I do suspect there is better sound hiding in there with the right tubes. Same with the WA-5LE. I suppose tube choices are very personal as well as system dependent.
