Disclaimer:
Many thanks to NF Acous for providing this review unit, and to Sonic Mantra for the opportunity to test it. This review reflects my honest opinions.
Introduction:
The NF Audio RG15 x ASSASSIN’S CREED MIRAGE is a limited-edition gaming in-ear monitor (IEM), available exclusively in mainland China. Featuring a dual-cavity dynamic driver and a DSP cable, it’s designed for both immersive audio and gaming performance. While the exact price isn't globally available, it falls under the $100 range.

Package Contents:
- The IEMs
- Black Type-C cable with QDC connector
- Small cloth bag
- NF Audio MS42 ear tips
- Paperwork

Build and Design:
The RG15 is a collaboration piece between NF Audio and Assassin's Creed Mirage, with the theme resonating through the packaging and design. The shells are constructed from metal with a glossy finish with an Assassin’s Creed-inspired pattern on the faceplate, complemented by a subtle white logo in the center. This small, golden shell exudes a premium feel and has a satisfying heft to it. The DSP-equipped cable features a golden Type-C termination and chin slider, with a built-in microphone and controls for play/pause and volume adjustment. The microphone’s close placement to the mouth enhances voice clarity.

Fit and Comfort:
For me, fit and comfort are essential in an IEM. The RG15 is compact and sits comfortably in my ears, but achieving a deep fit with the included accessories was challenging. If you prefer a deep, snug fit, aftermarket ear tips may be necessary. The cable and ear hook are soft but feel somewhat flimsy, with a build quality similar to cables at half the price. The QDC connectors can cause discomfort during extended listening as they create pressure on the ears where the cable rests.

Sound Quality:
The sound impressions are based on the stock DSP cable and MS42 ear tips.

- Bass:
The RG15’s bass performance is respectable, with a warm, punchy mid-bass that provides depth without overwhelming the rest of the sound. The sub-bass, while present, doesn’t reach as deeply as some listeners may prefer; it delivers a gentle rumble rather than intense vibration. The mid-bass, however, shines with a satisfying punch and a relaxed decay that adds a sense of smoothness to the overall sound. This gives the bass a well-controlled presence that is enjoyable for genres like pop and rock, though some bass lovers may wish for a little more quantity.
- Mid-range:
The mid-range is neutral and uncolored, offering natural male vocals with enough body for a rich sound, though they can feel slightly recessed in some tracks. Female vocals are smooth and pleasant, with a relaxing presence, and the upper mid-range tends to stay gentle. There’s some sibilance in certain tracks but that’s very rare. The mid-range is balanced and neutral, delivering male and female vocals with clarity and minimal coloration. Male vocals sound natural and rich, though they can feel slightly recessed in some tracks. Female vocals are handled beautifully, with a smooth, airy quality that is enjoyable over extended listening sessions. While the upper mid-range generally stays gentle, there’s a hint of sibilance on certain tracks, but it is rare. Overall the clarity of mid-section is commendable which gives a pleasant listening experience separating the other frequency regions apart.
- Treble:
The RG15’s treble is undoubtedly its most distinctive feature. Detailed, sparkly, and airy, the high-end frequencies are finely tuned to bring out intricate details in instruments, making it ideal for complex music or gaming environments where clarity is key. The lower treble is precise and detalied, while the upper treble extends well, adding an airy, expansive feel that enhances the overall soundstage. It picks up on subtle micro-details, even in busy tracks, making it a fantastic choice for treble enthusiasts.
- Technical Performance:
On the technical front, the RG15 performs impressively. The soundstage is wide and tall, with a notable sense of depth that creates an immersive, almost holographic listening experience. Imaging is sharp and precise, an advantage in gaming where sound cues are essential for positioning. Instrument separation is clear, making it easy to distinguish individual elements in the mix. This clarity also benefits gaming by highlighting subtle in-game sounds, adding an extra layer of engagement for gamers who rely on audio for spatial awareness.

Conclusion:
In summary, the NF Audio RG15 x ASSASSIN’S CREED MIRAGE IEM is a compelling option for both music and gaming enthusiasts. Its unique design, along with the Assassin’s Creed Mirage theme, offers a sense of exclusivity and makes it stand out among budget-friendly IEMs. With its balanced and detailed sound signature, the RG15 provides a pleasant, immersive listening experience. The treble tuning, while vivid and enjoyable, may be a bit intense for those who are sensitive to high frequencies.
For those who appreciate clear and articulate sound with a strong treble presence, the RG15 is a great choice that performs well beyond its price range. The build, design, and overall execution make it a standout option, especially for fans of Assassin’s Creed or anyone seeking an IEM that performs well in both music and gaming contexts.

Introduction
The NF Audio RG 15 X ASSASINS CREED MIRAGE is a collaboration IEM between NF Audio and the game ASSASINS CREED MIRAGE, making it quite the collector's item for ASSASINS CREED MIRAGE fans out there! Not to mention, it sounds really good, too, which I actually didn't expect from it since its priced under 100$
Disclaimer
Thanks to NF Audio for sending this as a review tour unit and thanks to my friend Md Rohit for lending me this unit. These are honest, unbiased opinions. I'm not paid or influenced in any way to say anything good or bad about this product. What's in the box:
RG15 IEMs
USB-C cable
pairs of NF audio ms42 Ear tips
Pouch with Assassin’s Creed Logo
Testing Gear's:
- Cowon Plenue R2
- Astell & Kern SP1000M
- Questyle M15
- Cayin RU7
- DDhifi TC44C
- Moondrop Dawn Pro
- iFi Go Blue
- Fiio BTR7
Build and design
The build on the RG15 is solid since its made out of some kind of metal, has some weight to them too. Coming on to the design aspect of this IEM, it is quite subjective since many will like it, many wont, including people like me. Though I'm a big fan of the logo on the Type-C connector!

Fit and comfort
The fitting on it is good, just requires one size larger eartip than you regularly use. And it is comfortable because of its small size, it does not cause discomfort.
Cable:
It is a 2 core cable with a mic and play/pause +/- buttons, while the connectors are Type C and QDC connectors for the IEMS. It's rather a thin cable; I didn't find it tangly that much.

Sound:
The NF Audio RG15 features a balanced sound signature that ensures no frequency range is overly emphasized. This results in clear vocals and instruments, making it versatile for various genresBass:
Sub-bass:
The sub-bass performance of these IEMs is not for suitable for everyone, though quality is present, the rumble is very minimal and lacks depth and quantity that the majority usually prefer. But anyone who like minimal sub bass will surely love this.
Midsbass:
I find the mid-bass quite enjoyable; it has a good, moderate punch and it doesn't interfere with the lower mids. The impact is deep , textured and rich , it should please majority of the users out there so no complains here.
Mids:
Male vocals:
The male vocals are good, smooth and refined, but their presentation is a bit laid back and relaxed; this might not suit everyone's taste. They do have a little bit of warmth behind them, but they are not as lush as one may expect from them.
Female vocals:
Female vocals are rich, clean, and clear, providing that smooth and soothing quality; upfront in presentation, they're an absolute pleasure to listen to. All in all, no complaints here!
Instruments:
Instruments sound remarkably clean and crisp, with their upfront positioning adding an extra layer of depth to the music. This clarity truly enhances the listening experience, making it the perfect icing on the cake!
Treble:
The treble is crisp and has exceeded my expectations, shining brightly with no hint of peaks or sibilance. It offers very impressive quality for under $100, delivering a sparkly and airy experience.
Technical performance:
Soundstage:
The soundstage is quite good for the price—I'd say slightly above average—with sufficient depth, height, and width. I have no complaints, as it provides a satisfying spatial experience for listeners.
Imaging:
The imaging on these IEMs is impressive, allowing you to easily pinpoint the location of each sound. This capability is a significant advantage for gaming, perfectly aligning with their intended purpose!
Detail retrieval:
Detail retrieval on these IEMs is decent; under 100$, you can’t expect much more. They punch above their weight, easily capturing minute details, which is impressive for the price.
Dynamics and transient response:
The dynamics are great, and the transient response is impressive. They handle fast tracks well without any hiccups!

We have some subjective ideas for Nf Audio RG15 Assassins Creed Mirage and I will write them down. Many thanks to them And I will try to explain in order what they promise.
Nf Audio is a professional IEM manufacturer and the products it produces really stand out with their design, material and musicality. Nf Audio RG15 is specially designed for the Assassins Creed Mirage game and it has some remarkable nuances. Since I am an Assassins Creed fanboy
We get excited when we say the product box design is a carrying case made of a coin purse
Let's move on to the details.
What's Offered in the Nf Audio RG15 Assassins Creed Mirage Box

The Nf audio Na2+ design that I have previously reviewed in the box content continues in the same way.
The handles in the box where the items are kept, reminiscent of CDs, are very original and have adopted this design language and made it standard. The fact that they brought it is such that it is called NF signature.
Comfort: Patterns on gold-colored metal parts,
The Assassins Creed logo in the middle of the items and the silhouette of the Basim on the Type C are very impressive.
It has a very solid fit in terms of weight, but it is surprisingly small and it gave me a fit problem. Yes, it is fine only if you do not move when you put it in your ear.
It is really annoying to use while moving. Due to its heavy structure, it oscillates directly downwards and disrupts our comfort. The microphone on the cable provides very clear communication. It does its job well even while playing games or making phone calls. Thanks to the Type C terminal, I got sufficient efficiency when I connected it directly to the PC without adding any DAC amp.
Bass: A balanced bass point. Yes, it would be wrong to call it a bass headset, but if we describe it as a gaming headset
It does its job well, has enough punch control and is on the oval side. The sub-bass hum is at a sufficient level. You can give up your own cable and buy a different 3.5 cable yourself.
When you try it, it becomes a little more enjoyable. When you look at the game performance, the explosion and cracking sounds feel very humming and realistic.
Mid: Things get a little more interesting here. It dominates a balanced, clean and energetic area. Male vocals come to the fore. Female vocals are a little further back and softer. In general, the vocals are in the middle and they are not crushed. Stringed instruments. natural and smooth with appropriate tonality.
Treble: It was Nf audio Na2+ that made me love treble
Naturally, I always try to keep a distance.
Of course, the taste of Na2+ is not offered, but it offers very energetic frequencies.
It is gentle and detailed, without tiring the ears. Sometimes in the top notes
Although I feel flashes, it does not last long and occurs immediately.
In games, I can detect broken glass pieces falling on the ground.
It exhibits its crystallization technically very successfully.
Conclusion: Although we define NF Audio RG15 Assassins Creed Mirage as a gaming headset,
Thanks to its wide stage, warm structure and balanced performance,
It also contains the technical details necessary for just listening to music in its pocket.

First of all, I would like to thank NF Audio for sending me the USB-C-powered RG15, an Assassin's Creed-themed gaming in-ear monitor, for a review, which would cost around 70 US dollars if it were available internationally, because as of now, it is only sold in the Chinese market, as I was informed.
NF Audio is a brand that is focused on the professional market, mostly on the music creation side. I find it so delightful that they are making IEMs aimed at the consumer market, bringing their expertise and experience to consumers.
As you can see in the photos, the packaging looks awesome and well thought out. It includes a pair of IEMs, a detachable USB-C cable with a gold-colored plug and neck cinch, a set of MS42 eartips, and an Assassin's Creed-themed carrying pouch.

The NF Audio RG15 sounds very immersive when used in gaming; the sound field is spherical in shape and large in size. It gave good directional clarity while I was playing PUBG and Call of Duty on my phone. On some more relaxed games like billiards and 2D shooting games such as Mr. Autofire, for example, the sound is so pleasant with excellent comfort that I can play with it for more than one hour at a time without ear fatigue.
For music listening with the USB-C cable, it has very good tonality; it is on the warm side, with a big bass sound. The midrange is a little recessed and uncolored, and there is a moderate elevation in the upper midrange that adds details but never causes fatigue. The treble is extended and has good air and details.
The soundstage is surprisingly big; I would rate it above average in the $100 price range. The imaging is not very defined compared to the best I've heard, but compared to IEMs in its price range, it is above average. I hear good definition and holography of the images, and they are quite stable. Instrument separation is good—not the best, but good.
When I listened to the RG15 with a third-party 2-pin cable in a 4.4mm balanced connection to a dongle DAC, everything improved, especially the loudness, but the form factor became bigger. I prefer the form factor with the stock cable. The differences in sound quality are not huge; the stock USB C cable is good enough sonically. Overall, I am happy using the RG15 with its own USB-C cable, both for gaming and music listening.
Pros:
- very good and pleasant sounding warm sound signature
- good details
- great spacious soundstage
- good imaging
- very convenient form factor with the stock USB-Cable
- I love the gold color, I think it's cool.
- Assassin's Creed theme
Cons:
- the gold color is not for everyone.
To wrap things up:
On the few games I used it with, the NF Audio RG15 performed brilliantly. But as an audio enthusiast evaluating the RG15, it passes all aspects in terms of audio performance with flying colors; in fact, I find it to be above average when I compare it to my other sets in this price range, especially in terms of tonality. I highly recommend the RG15 for both gamers and music lovers.
Happy Listening! Cheers!

Pros: Great for gaming
Removable cable
Affordable package
Removable cable
Affordable package
Cons: Not the best choice for music listening
The NF Audio RG15 x Assassin’s Creed in-ear monitors are an option for gamers seeking high detail and impactful bass. With a design focus tailored to enhance the gaming experience, these monitors excel in delivering precise audio cues and a robust low-end, making them of the surroundings in the virtual world. They scream gaming, with their golden finish and Assassin's Creed patterns.
Sound Quality
The detail rendered by the RG15 is impressive, allowing gamers to pick up on subtle in-game sounds that can be crucial for competitive play. With a good seal, the bass is powerful and enveloping, providing a substantial impact that enhances the immersive experience, especially in action-packed games where explosions and low-frequency effects are prominent.
However, when it comes to music listening, the sound signature presents a few challenges. The midrange is noticeably recessed, which makes vocals and midrange instruments sound distant and less engaging. This characteristic can detract from the enjoyment of music, particularly genres that rely heavily on vocal clarity and midrange presence. Additionally, the treble can be a bit sibilant, introducing a slight harshness that might be fatiguing over extended listening periods.
Gaming Performance
Designed with gamers in mind, the RG15's audio profile shines in video game environments. The pronounced bass and detailed sound reproduction help gamers locate footsteps, gunshots, and other critical audio cues with precision. This enhances situational awareness and provides a competitive edge in fast-paced games.
Comfort and Fit
Comfort is a key consideration for any in-ear monitor, especially for prolonged gaming sessions. The RG15, with its average size, offers a secure and comfortable fit. The included selection of eartips ensures that users can achieve a good seal, which is essential for both comfort and optimal audio performance. However, users with smaller ears might IEM’s such as the RA05.
Connectivity and Cable
The RA05 connects to the smartphone with a Type-C connector. The connection is very tight, and the smartphone recognizes them immediately.
The removable cable is a very good addition, offering both durability and flexibility. This feature not only enhances the longevity of the monitors but also allows for easy replacement or upgrades. The cable is also designed to be free of microphonics, ensuring that movement does not introduce unwanted noise, which is particularly beneficial during intense gaming sessions.
Conclusion
In The NF Audio RG15 x Assassin’s Creed in-ear monitors have been designed with gamers in mind. The sound signature, with its powerful bass and detailed reproduction, is ideally suited for gaming, where these elements enhance the overall experience. However, for music listening, the recessed midrange and slightly sibilant treble may be less appealing, making voices and midrange instruments sound more distant. Comfort is good, though the larger size may be a consideration for some users. the Type-C connectivity makes them very modern. The removable, microphonics-free cable is a highlight, adding to the overall durability and user experience. Overall, the RG15 offers a well aimed package for gamers who prioritize impactful bass and detailed audio cues for their immersivity needs.

Previously known as Wretched Stare
Pros: Good details, a wide and deep soundstage, and they are well-made.
Cons: Spicy lift in the upper midrange and lower treble. No standard cable.

The RG15 fully leverages the Assassin's Creed brand to influence its design. The gold finish, patterns, and insignia are aesthetically appealing and thematically consistent with the setting of Mirage. It stands out in its price range, and this high quality extends to its fit. Despite the luxurious design, the physical shell is quite compact, making it comfortable for extended wear, although the weight may cause a slight tilt without properly sized ear tips.
The RG15 is equipped with a Type-C plug featuring built-in DSP tuning. It utilizes 5N oxygen-free copper wire for superior sound transmission quality. Crafted to enhance your gaming experience, it allows every note and sound effect to provide an enhanced experience when gaming.
The Bass on the RG15 is notably subdued. Unlike other gaming IEMs, you won't experience a bass response rich in texture and body, which may be disappointing. Nevertheless, the bass maintains a notable presence in the mix, subtly enhancing the sound signature. Specific sub-bass frequencies provide a robust foundation for effects. Although it seems quite distinct from the overall sound signature, this clear distinction may be advantageous for gaming. The RG15 still delivers an enjoyable rumble, albeit not as thick as one might expect from gaming earbuds.
Midrange:
The mids on the RG15 are exceptionally transparent, forward, and clear. The effects are detailed, and the separation is well-executed. The vocals are not excessively thin and possess a pleasing timbre. This provides a clear sense of the origins of footsteps and dialogue. However, the mid-treble is less stable, exhibiting some spiciness in some vocals.
The Treble:
The highs on the RG15 possess a considerable amount of sparkle and airiness, delivering very good detail. The effects, such as metal clashing against metal and the overall atmosphere, are presented naturally and effectively.
Soundstage: It is open, offering expansive detail with impressive depth and height. The layering is superb, and the imaging is precise, making it well-suited for gaming.
This IEM is well-crafted, whether for gaming or music listening, its capabilities are impressive. The onboard DSP and DAC make it very convenient for traveling and mobile gaming. I personally appreciate its design, and it performs admirably for RPG games and occasional music sessions.
