I'm not surprised if some people don't like this at first, the sound is so different from most mainstream bass earphone and you need to get used to the sound. Honestly this is the first IEM that give me real ear orgasm 
once i'm get used to the sound signature. For example i've been using phonak pfe since 3 months ago and after some time ago i tried to listen to the monoprice again, hmm this is a bit too harsh I thought so I keep using it for a day and yeah this sound as good as I remember once i get used to the sound again.
