500+ Head-Fier
Pros: Useful, good value, easy to set up
Cons: see review
This is a short review for the II+ , NOT the + version.
Gear tested with:
LCD-2 w/ Pimeta DIY amplifier (on loan)

Disclaimer:
As I'm waiting for my b22 I loaned a couple of amps from friends and ended up now with the pimeta which is a nice enough amp, but nowhere close to a b22 so take my impressions with a bit of understatement.

Had my Streamer II+ for a couple of months now and here are my short, audio quality only impressions:
Treble is a little bit tipped up, very nice treble but could be unjoyable in loud parts and transients.
Very airy with enough detail to every treble lover.
Mids are ok, more than ok for the price (Maybe can relate it to the amp, LCD-2 are still underpowered).

Bass lacks definition and does not extends far like the Chameleon or Opus DACs.

Comparisons to other DACs:
Opus - better overall, bass and soundstage differences are heard from the get go.
Chameleon - sounded too distant and excessively warm, maybe does not synergies well with the headphones.
Gamma2 - significantly of lower level than the Streamer in every department.

To sum it - The Streamer II+ is a good value for a pc-based system, especially for its ability to play 24/96. It can be compared honorably to DACs that costs the same and more.
