Thanks for this excellent review! I had the GS1000 (original version) for almost a year and recognize your description. I also thought sometimes that it lacked on bass, but that wasn't the case when I listened with it from my (RudiStor) tube amp. Reading your review made me miss it (especially its spectacular soundstage), although I still have a Grado PS500.

Thank you for the review... I have had my own difficulties with ears as I advance into my sixties. About three years ago, after a bad winter of constant ´flu, I kept having painful ear infections - pain, pressure, deafness - which kept coming back. After asking about I tried Omega 7 capsules which seemed to help. The problem disappeared and I now take them all the time. YMMV, of course!
