@Djinnenjous - I can only comment on my own experience but it seems that you are the only one who has commented about this happening, so possibility that maybe it is just your IEM which had a manufacturing flaw? I've had them now for almost 6 months, and in that time changed the ULF filters 100's of times - never had an issue.  Haven't heard of anyone else with one either.  Just some data to note.

As far as the ZhiYin QT5 goes, I haven't heard it, and would reserve judgement until I do, or until a reviewer I know and trust gets a chance to review them. So far I have read a lot of "hype" but very little substance.  Not saying they aren't the next best thing - but at this time I remain a little sceptical.

Zhiyin QT5 is having mixed opinions on sound and some unknown QC issues.

Thanks willowbrook - hopefully they get to a few more reviewers so we get a more complete picture.

i agree with your suggestion of perhaps future renditions coming out with tuneable options with a mini screwdriver or something
like what JH audio  is doing for his rosie and new 13 series...or even such as the senn ie80 has....much faster to adjust to different types of music.
no doubt it's easier said than done, but prob forrest is hopefully looking into that option.l

Would appreciate the review, if the item wasn't discontinued. I think that by how long these have been out most of us know how good/bad they are, and it's kind of a waste of a read and your own time to review a product that is hard to obtain these days.
Just my 2 cents though.

Where on earth did you hear they were discontinued?  You can buy from both Lend Me Ur Ears and Shenzhen Audio.  The links are in the review.

And as far as everyone knowing what they sound like - judging by the feedback I'm getting, quite a few people are appreciating the content of the review. If you're not - that's on you   You can simply move along and find something more to your taste perhaps.  Thanks for the highly constructive comments (and yes - that is sarcasm).

Great review, as always! So, has the Dunu DN-2000J got kicked to the drawer, in your use?

Most of the time nowadays I'm listening to review units - so I really never stop evaluating.  When I do get downtime, it's usually the HD600, and for IEMs mostly the top 4 I actually own : 64Audio Adel U6, q-Jays, Alclair Curve and Trinity Delta V2.  I think the Fidue Sirius will probably join that group - which means (sadly for my wallet) I'll need to buy the review unit from Fidue at some stage.

Don't get me wrong. But I read your review of DN-2000J and you said it was perfect for you and you didn't give any recommendation to Dunu. As I saw in this review, you still have the DN-2000J and say you love it. But you don't listen to it, that seams contradictory to me.

No thats a fair call - still enjoy it every time I listen to it.  When I wrote that review though (over a year ago), I didn't have any of the IEMs I just mentioned. I guess its the life of a reviewer - I get exposed to a lot of different units. For pure listening pleasure though (ie disregarding the listening for actual reviewing) - I'd choose to spend most of my time with the 4 mentioned above + adding Sirius once I can afford it.

That actually makes sense, thanks for the clarification. Since you have tested a lot of IEMs, what do you prefer for classical, orchestra, OST and acustic music? I bought DN-2000J because I thought it was the right kind of IEM for it, but it is taking too long to arrive. Do you think DN-2000J is good for the genres I enumerated? Is it a headphone better for it? Which? It is to pair with a neutral DAP. Price less than 1K dollar, you can also give examples for different tiers of prices. Well, this is long question but the answer can be simple. You also should check Earsonics brand when you can, I have SM64 and Velvet. Great house sound, they are french.

Good question - at the moment probably the 64Audio Adel U6.  Sirius is a strong contender too though. And if you like the 2000J's tonality - it really is a very good IEM.  Most of the time I tend to use FiiO's X3ii (often with the E17K), the L&P L3, and the FiiO X7.  Depends what i'm doing really. The only Earsonics I ever tried was the SM3 and it would be fair to say I wasn't a big fan.  A little too smooth for my personal tastes.

uzuzu...wow man, poor manners...brooko took alot of time out ...the pics, charts, measurements etc...and he's right, as per availability and popularity...this is still the iem suggested to me by many well regarded reviewers for 'holding it's own' againt others more pricey...esp if you want to start getting into really good sound.

You gave 5 stars to many cheaper IEMs, delta v2 is one of them. Are these better than FLC8s which got only 4.5?

All of my reviews take price into account (which I think is important).  The Delta V2 is a third of the price (almost) - so in terms of bang for buck, I'd say yes.  In terms of ultimate configurability options the FLC8S is better.  Tonality will simply come down to preference.

Thanks for the awesome review.
How is the sound quality of the DUNU DN-2002 compared to FLC8s? (sound clarity and bass response)
Thanks again
