Hi Jose,
The Pro 2HD are very different from the H40, H40 are more like a wall of sound for me, it's fun, good material but a little bit bassy I think. So in direct comparison, it will be disturbing because of the wide and very deep stage of Flare Pro 2HD. Much more detailed, deep and dynamic than the ISN H40. This kind of scene reveals the separation between the instrument and a better resolution in fact. But because it's more neutral, you may find the Flare Pro 2HD perhaps less fun than the ISN H40. That's why it's necessary to spend some time with them before deciding whether or not to adopt this IEM. The isolation is good for this IEM, in the city, I can hear a little bit of noise from cars but it's very good for me. I use them in bed to watch movies with my wife next to me and she never hears them, so even if the hole, there is no big leak for me. If I reverse the earphones, I can only hear the sound from the hole if I put them in my ears.
Have a nice day,
Maxence

thank you for your fantastic review of the Flare Pro 2HD IEM . It is incredibly valuable to me because you also own the ISN H40 which is my current TOTL IEM ( mind you I have never owned anything above $300 except the oldie Unique Melody Miracle IEM).
As much as I like the H40 still I have been searching for my end-game but not surpassing the $500 tier, and it looks like the Flare could be the one, according to your comments.
How is the sound leakage and isolation on the 2DH?
So, I´d greatly appreciate if you could do a more detailed comparison between the H40 and the 2HD.
best, Jose
