Ya it is about as close to a 5.1 for earphones as it gets. I think its technical ability warrants the extra speakers in the ears. 2.1 was so yesterday. It is all about the 5.1

I really liked the Fiio FH7s when I was able to try them and I think the HF9s are different, with a tuning that is sure to satisfy my desires as a bass-lover. Although I also like the analytical sound....
Of course, great packaging is always appropriate, otherwise it feels like you're buying straw.
