@darnyamlein Since the sensitivity of the FH3 is higher than the no.3, it should be easier to drive or at the very least about the same.

For hard rock, metal, what would be the one to go?
I pretty much am looking for a Starfield, but with more air and impact with the bass drum. Any suggestions?

@MikonJuice I would go with the LZ A6 but if you want as good timbre as possible then i cant recommend it. The A6 has a very fast bass speed along with very good quantity (adjustable with filters) and extreme amounts of air. Although the LZ A7 is coming out next month, so it might be better for you to wait for comparisons between the A6 and the A7 (I will review the A7).

The FH3 does suit a lot of genres, but if air and bass speed is your priority, then the A6 is better.

@RikudouGoku I read your impression of FH3 on hifiguide forum. It seems quite interesting and will be a good pair for the DH3. May be even replace them. Can you give me a brief comparison between the FH3 and Penon Orb? Also, does FH3 has less bass than ISN H40?

@Ace Bee I dont have them so cant compare. From what others have said on the H40 though, it seems the FH3 might have a little bit less quantity but has better quality.

@RikudouGoku Then that's a great news. Personally, I have the same impression about Moondrop Blessin 2 like you. Although the air is greater, the sharpness is intolerable. I'm torn between the Orb and the FH3 to be honest.

@Ace Bee Well at the very least, the build quality and price on the FH3 is better than the orb lol. Also has a beryllium DD, which to me is a big advantage, that bass texture is so damn addictive.

Great review as always. I got mine yesterday. Wow! A tonal tour de force. Reminds me of JVC fdx1. Exquisitely tuned. What a beautiful sound ❤

@F700 Thanks! It definitely is a very fun experience when the review units I review are so good! If I buy stuff myself and they arent above a minimum standard (Rank A-) they wont get a review from me at all, because it isnt a fun experience. :joy:

I have just swapped the stock cable with a 22 AWG copper after-market cable and it is a perfect match! Better than the other SPC or Silver cables that I own. Highly recommend to give the pure copper a try if you wanna replace the stock cable.

@fizzytao I am using a pure copper cable, the Faaeal litz copper cable. The best value you can get in a cable with an insanely low resistance.

@ RikudouGoku. Thanks for the awesome review of the FH3. I got it today and in my book the bass quantity, quality and texture alone is well worth the asking price. Mids and treble sounded great for the money. Timbre was excellent. Superb synergy with the DX 160. Sq the iem delivers is much above its price point. It deserves a balanced cable though and a 4.4 mm mmcx cable upgrade (from Fiio itself?) should significantly improve the sq, I feel. Any thoughts?
