While the Lina system is now on my wish list, it's a shame they didn't include a variable balanced output on the back of the headphone amp unit, so that it could be used as a preamp with a set of powered desktop loudspeakers. Sure, you can always connect the speakers to one of the balanced headphone outputs on the front, but that would ruin the aesthetic. The same considerations apply with respect to using the RAAL TI-1a Ribbon/Amp interface.

I also wish they had offered the Lina system in silver as well as black.

Otherwise, the design checks all of my boxes. But for $30k it ought to.

Excellent review. Love the shoebox size of the components. Have liked this compactness and modularity
of equipment since owning my first Naim Audio chrome bumper system, which remains timeless. 😀

In 12 months, I look forward to reading all the posts about how much better this sounds after upgrading the PSU and not stacking the components :sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile:

The headphone amp doesn't seem as powerful as I expected. Does it really power the Susvara fully?

Thank you for the great review. Not sure about the amp though, with those numbers, this does not seem to be targeted at HPs like the Susvara.

Just wondering if you were able to audition the LINA DAC as a standalone directly into another non dCS headphone amp?

I'm not in position to make all three pieces of LINA a one shot and one time purchase. I am more in a position to start with the DAC and then to add of the master clock and then the headphone amp as time and funds allow.

How does the Lina Dac and clock compare to the Bartok Dac and Rossini Clock?

Have you listened to Boulder 812? Wondering the comparison of these two headphone amps.

The real problem here is the lack of volume control. Price is relative, like all esoteric products.
